Remember there’s no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end.”Scott Adams

“Kindness”, a word that’s quite familiar to nearly everyone. As all of us have experienced it somehow, somewhere in our lives. How beautiful is it, that mere reading or hearing it gives us flashbacks of past events, that has the power of enlightening our past and brightening our present. And yes how many stories are there of every single person associated to this word. How amazing is it!

Few days back I started a course named Amal Fellowship. I must say it’s an extremely amazing phase of my life. Learning and applying things in real life. Anyways long story short. This week I got an assignment of doing random acts of kindness within 24 hours. I have never done such activity before. But I must say I enjoyed doing it and looking forward to keep on practicing it. Let me share my experience with you.

I started by making cups of tea for my parents. I usually do that. But today I had the act of kindness in mind that was quite satisfying and humbling as well.

The next thing I did was to take care of my cousin as my Aunt has to go somewhere. Spending time with him was so relaxing. As he is a small bundle of joy.

Than I wrote few motivational quotes and pasted them on my wall. Writing such things are always exciting for me. I loved doing it.

I wrote my mother a thankyou note as she is always supporting and loving. She was so happy seeing it. And seeing her happy made me even more happier.

I texted a very old friend of mine whom I haven’t been able to talk to since very long because of the busy routine. It was so refreshing. Though It was little chit chat session but I felt glad I did it.

The thing I have realized in doing all of it, is that It doesn’t take much to be happy or make others happy. It’s the small things that have huge impacts. Even if a person is not going to remember them forever, at least these can make up their day. What if we don’t jump to 5 or 10 acts of kindness directly rather we start by doing one each day but that one needs to be consistent. Because one day when we will gr old and reflect back we will be having something to be proud of ourselves. Something to feel happy about. Something that we did purely for others.

Little deeds of kindness, little words of love, Make our Earth an Eden, Like the Heaven above.
